I’m Rhett McIntosh, founder of Coast Marine Covers and a proud Gold Coast local with over 20 years of experience in marine trimming, custom boat covers and marine upholstery.

My journey began at just 17 years old when I started my apprenticeship at Currumbin Trimmers, where I developed a strong foundation in quality workmanship, attention to detail and premium marine craftsmanship. Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of vessels and projects, continually refining my skills and passion for the marine industry.

Today, Coast Marine Covers operates from The Boat Works in Coomera, widely recognised as the Gold Coast’s premier marine precinct and one of Australia’s most prestigious boatyards. From our fully equipped workshop, we deliver premium marine covers, flybridge clears, marine upholstery, carpets and interior solutions for boat owners across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW.

Our focus has always been simple — quality over quantity. Every project is custom measured, precision fitted and built using premium marine-grade materials to ensure exceptional durability, functionality and presentation. Whether we’re creating a custom boat cover, a crystal-clear flybridge enclosure or a complete interior refit, our goal is to deliver workmanship we’re proud to stand behind.
